I have installed Acrobat 8 Professional under CrossOver Professional 8.0.0 in a Windows XP box.

A number of functionalities appears to work. However, there some glitches and some major problems:

• most of the time the File pull down menu is displayed in gray with the menu items missing
• the contents of a sticky note disappears when one presses the Enter key
• sometimes a window projected over the main screen will disappear only when the document is scrolled
• the contents of a sticky note has disappeared when one returns from elsewhere in the document to the page where the sticky note was created;
• it is impossible to get rid of the Getting Started window; it can be closed but reappears at every next start of the program
• when trying to create a form the programs crashes

But features like Save As, OCR, securing with password signing and many more do work!

The program works, but there are many quirks.

• Discovered that I cannot print to a network printer from within Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Professional.
• The snap-to feature within measurement tools is invisible.
• One has to be mindful whether ortho is on or off.
• Right mouse click within the document creates a permanent quick menu that cannot be closed or escaped from without jumping to a different page or closing the document as a whole.
