Installer crashed near the end, no menu icon but can get Acrobat 5.0.5 to work reasonably on CrossOver 3.0.1 if invoked by "/opt/cxoffice/bin/wine --verbose --cx-app acrobat.exe" (thanks to Mr/Ms A. Coward). Early days yet but, similar to Martin Reed, the 'Save as' crashes the application.
One really useful bit about Acrobat is where it puts a macro in MS Word which you can convert Word documents to PDF. Although I can see the macro in Word (PDFMaker.dot in the global template), it throws up "The Adobe PDFMaker server cannot be loaded; please re-install Adobe PDFMaker" error. Needless to say the PDFMaker option in the print dialog isn't there either. Obviously there are some lovely things to do using the Postscript driver and ps2pdf but Acrobat always made such a nice job of converting the heading levels to a left-spine links toolbar.
Anyone got this to work?
P.S. Can't uninstall or reinstall either, but not to worry..
