Act of War - Direct Action Forum

Under Linux you need to do the following:

1.- Create a XP bottle name it "Act of War" (or whatever you want)
2.- Install DirectX 9
3.- Install the Game.
In my case I always have a problem that the last message "where you click finish" never shows up
if your case is like this, just use a System monitor Application and kill the Setup, should appear nameless with the icon of the "installshield" or kill Setup.exe

This will make crossover finish the installation. and Create "SOME" icons NOT ALL.

4.- Patch the Game! download and install Patch 1.06
5.- THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART.

run "Regedit" from the "Act of War" bottle and search for  
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eugen Systems\ActofWar\RegNumber  

the "RegNumber" is not there! create a new String named "RegNumber"  
and give it a new VALUE (copy and paste your CD-KEY, with Dashes and all, I dont know if          it's case sensitive but I typed all letters capital)

6. Use a NO-CD patch. and Have Fun!
