Act! wants IE

When I try to install Act! 6.0 I get an error telling me that Act! requires the latest version of Microsoft IE. It says to install that and then try again to install Act!

I see some people have installed Act! so I am wondering how you got around this IE issue?

Excuse the basic questiong, but did you install IE6 into the same bottle into which you're attempting to install Act!?
