I have found Aaron's WebVacuum to be a handy tool in research. I point the WebVacuum browser at a directory and "scoop up" everything that I would want in that directory without point-and-clicking it all, in the background.
What does that mean? Well, I can do this a few times while I am primarily engaged in a much more intellectual task and then sort through everything that has been found, rather than spending all that time just waiting for stuff to download.
A real time-saver.
I would really like to use this tool on my Linux (Ubuntu) system. So far I have gotten it to go through most of the installation routine with Cross Over Linux, but I still have not gotten it to work.
