Hi,
Select the game image, the game page will appear, on the left of the image there are various options. Under the download button there is an option to locate game's file, choose it and browse to the game folder location, selcet the folder with your game name. I did it this way. This problem didn't occour often but when it does I fixed as stated before. Hope it helps
So these games I am trying to play have to be directly installed from the Uplay launcher. When I do that, the part you say to select goes away. When I try playing the game for the first time, it cannot locate the game files it just installed. When I confirm the correct location (it is right all along) it is usually able to verify those files but the game won't start. So now it's an endless cycle of the launcher saying it cannot locate the game files, that those files have been verified, and the game not opening.
I have had luck with one part of a game opening. I have Anno 1701 and when I try to open the World Editor, it opens fine with no errors. The actual game constantly asks for the game file location.
I did allow permission for full disk access on my Mac because I was getting permission messages to access Documents while trying to open for the first time. I did that while the program was open and it ended up crashing Uplay. When I reopened, I still ran into the same issue.
Hi,
Try to perform a clean install of ubisoft connect maybe it will fix the problem.
Hi,
I have attempted to create an entirely new bottle and the issue persists.
Hi ,
Okay open uplay options, go in settings >downloads and try to set a new game files folder and a new installer folder, let's see if this happens again.
Hi,
Thanks for your assistance.
I ended up trying to install inside my Steam bottle and it was able to install correctly and even attempt to run the games. Now the only issue is the games won't run, due to most of them being DX11 games.
I do have one game that is non-DX11 that I hope to get to run but for now, I will leave this app in the Steam bottle since this has given me the best performance so far.
Hi,
You can play dx11 games through dxvk, if I recoll correctly. Is dxvk installed?
Face the same issue. Can I use the Play Store to download games?
