CrossOver Support - Community Forums

Hi all,

I downloaded Crossover in hopes of playing Diablo IV on my new Macbook. I have installed Crossover, Battle.net, and Diablo IV with no accelerators and unchecked auto-update. When I click play it goes to playing now, then to update. When I click on update it changes to updating then crashes.

I've removed the bottle for Battle.net and reinstalled it a couple of times along with Diablo IV. Any help is greatly appreciated! Please let me know what other details you need to help me get this working.

The constant updating (when starting the game and often when quitting also) is a common occurrence. Someone from CodeWeavers tech support said that they believe it is "false updates" because of an issue between Battlenet and Wine (which is what CrossOver is based upon). But I have never had it crash.

Yeah, I read that in another thread. I was hoping there was a way around it because the game never launches at this point.

I had the exact same issue, it was crashing on my MBP but not on my MacStudio.So finally I flushed my bottle to create a new one from scratch and it work.
Now I'm hosting game files in a dedicated external disk, like this I just need to mount it to the bottle when I create a new one.
