Hi Fedor, I said why not trying as I have the game anyway.
I have installed the patch from your link (v1.7 the latest) than the Nexus patch, but upon starting the game I still get the Depth bound test failed. I am running the game under macOS 15.1.1, Crossover Preview and bottle Windows 10.
Did you manage to get it running or you were just only aware of the existence of these patches?
I don’t have the game, but I know that you need to install two patches.
The patch from Playground is an .exe that disables the F16C check.
The patch from Nexus needs to be placed next to the .exe and the library should be overridden in Wine. This will prevent the depth error, which is caused by insufficient VRAM.
Rename dxgi.dll to d3d12.dll and override d3d12 in winecfg.
This should eliminate the depth-related error since I tested it on a pirated version of the game a few months ago.
Unfortunately, the game still didn’t launch back then, but at least the errors were gone.
If I have time, I’ll try downloading it again and share the log with ChatGPT for analysis.
Maybe the game works fine now.
Open Wine Configuration in the bottle (on the right)
Open the Libraries tab.
Insert d3d12 and click Add. Click OK
This way, the library located next to the exe will be used, not the one built into Wine.
Hi, thanks for the details, I did those changes, now there is no depth test fails error, but Wine reports another error and stops the game launch. Tried both in Crossover Preview and standard version.
I don’t have any ideas for now. I tried to solve the issue with ChatGPT, and there’s a problem with loading libraries. Perhaps the issue lies in the patch that disables F16C.
