I bought Crossover just o play Diablo 2, as i was struggling to get it work with Whisky, wine etc and thought that if i pay money, it will work, as it was stated Diablo 2 Runs well
But no matter what i do, restarting, clean install etc... the battle net gets stuck at 45% :(
Hi i struggled with that for a while but what I do now and works every time is install bnet alone then launch it and install D2 in there :) It should work if it sits at 45 it should only be for a min at most.
I just had to reinstall bnet the other day for D IV:)
Oh let me know if you can't get it to work I'll make you a bottle with Bnet installed and all you need to do is load that into crossover and launch, login and install your game. :)

OP, do this if the Crosstie for D2R is failing in some way. The only thing you should need to do when following this advice from James:
–Use the Crosstie to install Battle.net into a new Windows 10 64-bit bottle.
–Enable D3DMetal and ESync in the bottle’s Advanced Settings, all other settings should be disabled.
–Then use Battle.net to install D2R.
I’m surprised you are having that problem, though. I have installed D2R using the Crosstie and experienced no problems.
Thanks for going step by step I keep forgetting when documenting things that not everyone is familiar with how things go. I need to be more conscious about it so thanks for spelling it out for him, that's exactly what I was getting at. So thanks! :)
You don't need windows that's the whole point of crossover. When John says to use Windows 10 he's speaking of the settings when you install Battle.net what type of OS that the bottle will think it's running.
You'll need to know how to do this stuff if you intend to use the software to its fullest.
Please be sure to read this support article from Codewavers on how to install a listed application. (In this case, you'll just be installing battle.net) Then once it's installed you would launch battle.net and install your game using their launcher.
Also, this is a great resource it's their (Codeweavers) help files they do a great job including pics. Also right here in the forums is a great spot :) Check out Discord too for a more immediate response if anyone is on and knows how to solve the problem you are facing. :)
You will need a 3rd party unzip program as I've discovered that the built-in Mac unarchive tool doesn't know what to do with the file once it's unzipped it unzips it to the raw files and folders of the bottle. So feel free to download your bottle. Please post when you have it so I may delete it from my Google Drive. The one I listed is on the app store and works best for all your unzipping needs :)
First, unzip using that program and double click the file it's associated to crossover and will auto setup a bottle containing a brand new install of b.net and then you can download your D2R.
Enjoy (All advanced settings have been set for the best b.net experience)
Yes, this sounds like the same issue. You are also welcome to submit a support ticket, and our team can provide you with a bottle archive to get around this issue.
Best,
Meredith
