I wanna play Sims 2. i hesr there is a lot of trouble installing it from downloaded version bevause of the No CD Patch, so I decided to buy a original CD Rom (I used to have it but cannot find jt anymore). I found a cheap option but it is a Mac CD (not PC) - is that a problem or will I be able to create a bottle and install it? Whoch bottle would that be?
CrossOver is designed to run Windows applications on non-Windows platforms; it can't help with native Mac games.
The PC version of The Sims 2 does not run with CrossOver Mac at this time, as far as I’m aware.
The original Mac retail copies of The Sims 2 also will not work on your Mac because they target PowerPC and 32-bit Intel. If you still have an Intel Mac running 10.14 or earlier, you might be able to run that version. Otherwise, you could try the updated port from Aspyr on the App Store.
Please Note: This Forum is for non-application specific questions relating to installation/configuration of CrossOver. All application-specific posts to this Forum will be moved to their appropriate Compatibility Center Forum.
