So, I bet this is very hard to do, but I'm wondering if it's something CrossOver might eventually enable. Specifically, ClipMate runs great in Crossover. Except for the biggest deal - it doesn't hook the Linux clipboard for capturing new clips.

At this time we don't have any plans to work on ClipMate in Crossover, but it's always possible that work we're doing on other applications may add whatever missing bits ClipMate needs too and it could start working in a future release on its own.
