Hello,

Yesterday, after updating to 23.5, I started getting the following message when running Steam:

steamwebhelper, a critical Steam component, is not responding. The Steam UI will not be usable.
Click here for more information.

Let's try to help:

[ ] Restart Steam
[ ] Restart Steam with GPU Acceleration disabled
[ ] Restart Steam with Browser Sandboxing disabled
[ ] Restart steamwebhelper
[ ] Exit Steam

Non of the suggested options work, because the UI is nearly frozen.

Macbook, M1 Pro, 16 GB, Ventura 13.5.2.

Exact same issue here - can't get into Steam at all.

That has to be something unique to the M1 mac. On my Mac Pro 6,1 23.5 and steam are working fine. In fact I just installed Spore and started playing it.

I'm on an M2 Pro Mac mini and I've tried DXVK and D3DMetal. Both crash immediately with my existing 23.0 bottles.

However, I created a brand new bottle and it started first time. Frustrating but I guess I'll re-download my games.

I'm on Monterey and started to get that after update to 23.0. Steam works in 22 so now you on Ventura get the error too. Sometimes it helps to restart steamwebhelper via the message box.
