Hi,
I've been attempting to connect a USB device to CrossOver using the info on this page however, when entering the commands from the first section of the page, nothing happens, and as such I can't continue the rest of the tutorial. Any help would be greatly appreciated
edit: Just thought I'd mention: the mac does recognize that the device is connected and I'm currently on macos 13.1.
I am evaluating the free download and would like to use Crossover rather than a full virtual machine. The main reason I need it for one application that communicates with a USB device. I also do not see USB device make any change to the /dev directory on macOS 13.5
I can get full details for the device in System Information.
How can I use this to map the COM port to the application's bottle?
Support did reach out to an email response but more or less to just say they could not help, which I understand. USB support is maybe difficult to get right and most people don't need. In the end I went for Parallels Desktop + Windows 11.
