I've just upgraded my previous CrossOver install to 17.0.0 (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS). No troubles during the upgrade process and all the applications seem to work as previously.
But when I launch CrossOver via the console, I get the following messages :
:~$ /opt/cxoffice/bin/crossover
crossover:warning: category Multimedia/Music Composition has no localized category name

Well... It is only a warning, but if you want to install it, try:
sudo apt install libncurses5 libncurses5:i386
From the aptitude explanation: "The ncurses library routines are a terminal-independent method of updating character screens with reasonable optimization."
It works now without complaining about libncurses.so.5 😎
Thanks !
