Is there any particular reason that the Wineloader process wants to peg the CPUs to at/near 100%? I'm running one app - Outlook 2007. Sometimes everything is perfectly fine with CPU at/below 10%. Other times the CPU is up and stays that way until I have to violently kill the process (Outlook becomes more sluggish then unresponsive to anything).
Nothing fancy going on AFAIK. But it's not very helpful! I didn't see any other threads about this, so I don't know whether I'm just the oddball out or something!
Same symptoms here. OUTLOOK.EXE is staying at the top of top, and that's hovering near 90%. I've disabled every plugin via the Trust Center, installed IE 6, and am using a winxp bottle (on top of Ubuntu 8.04; and this is the "Lame Duck" release of Professional ... 7.1.0) I've also chopped away at any frills, like any setting that would even sound like it runs automatically in the background. The next test was to disable my Exchange account and see if it's merely Outlook 2007 running or the kind of account.
Did you install anything other than Outlook?
