Team fortress 2 crashes after intial starting round

I'm trying to run team fortress 2 on my mac OS X 10.5.6 but everytime I try to play I get in a match and can move around during the preparing round. Once the round finishes the game crashes and exits. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem. I have already added -dxlevel 80 -w 1280 -h 800 to my launch properties.

Does this also occur if you start your own(empty) server?

Yes it happens in my own servers and others servers. I've been playing around with it some more and it seems to not have a trigger but happens after a short period of time during game play. I've attempted to try it with -dx level 80, -dxlevel 81, and -dxlevel90 all to no avail. I think I have the same memory leakage problem as everyone else with the GMA x3100 chipset ☹️ but mine seems to happen evey 10 mins even with the graphics turned way down.

well, luckily I got a refurbished mac now with an X3100. So I hope I can look at this issue soon. (we didn't have a X3100 anywhere in our office before. Lots of GMA950's, lots of radeons and geforce cards, but no X3100)
