Hey, I have both Wine and Crossover and I need them both to share one C: drive. How can I do this?
In theory yes. A crossover bottle is a simple wine prefix, so you can make Wine use a crossover bottle by setting the WINEPREFIX environment variable, e.g.:
WINEPREFIX=~/.cxoffice/mybottle wine foo.exe
However, CrossOver has a few registry settings and DLL overrides that can break Wine, and Wine may try to update some registry settings that may break some apps in CrossOver, so use this at your own risk. You can also share just the C drive(not the registry) by changing the dosdevices/c: symlink in .wine or the bottle
