Without going into the whys of the issues that stop these titles
running under crossover-games ...yet... there is a way to get
them going using wine-1.0.1 and 'ies4linux' Note: this will =not=
corrupt/damage your existing crossover installation(s) in any way.
When using wine-1.0.1 , in addition to the instructions given in the
link below, you will have to obtain copies of mfc42.dll and d3d9_27.dll
and copy those into your ~/.wine/drice_c/windows/system32 directory ;
you end up using the =builtin= d3d9 winelib, and the =native= d3d9_27.dll
You don't have to do anything special for mfc42.dll, just make sure it's
present. Otherwise, just follow the directions in the link below. I'd
be hopeful this will work in COG sometime in the future...
