Hey everyone,

I was hoping you could tell me your experiences with your FPS (specifically in Ubuntu 9.04)

I am running CX8 and currently have the latest nvidia drivers installed, with desktop effects disabled.

I have 4GB of RAM, a Q6600 quad core Intel, and 8800 GTX as my GPU.

Whenever I run into a "busy" area with a ton of stuff going on my FPS just gets crippled to 20 or so FPS, my Windows side handles this with barely any load on the system (full settings at that)

Even with my Linux settings on the lowest settings possible it is still quite poor. I have tried different DX versions, windowed mode vs full screen...everything... but can't seem to get anything working better. Any suggestions?

Your computer specs are good ( better than mine T.T )

Perhaps setting or specifying the amount of vram your graphic card has in the registry might help

HKEY_CURRENT_USER-->Software-->Wine-->Direct3D-->VideoMemorySize

..just might help..if key doesnt exist do try and create it..

On the other hand , i am wondering if there is a bug with the nvidia drivers ...do try changing your driver ...maybe to a more
stable one
