Hi there, I did some searching around but I couldn't find any posts on this subject. I was wondering if anyone had found any good work arounds for certain issues playing TF2 with the mighty mouse, for instance, not being able to spin your gun then fire with the Heavy. (can't simultaneously left and right click with the mighty mouse). I'm still waiting for the game to download on Steam now so maybe this is a non issue. If it is though I'd like to hear what people do instead, maybe map right click to the command key for Heavies or something? Any answer besides, "Don't play as Heavy" would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey. I've got a Mighty Mouse and I get around this annoyance by using the right click to spin up and then rapidly releasing the button and reclicking with the left click. Most of the time this works fine, as TF2 seems to not care that I'm rapidly switching buttons. It never occurred to me to remap the secondary fire control. Unfortunately, you'd probably have to use some pretty complicated scripting to make the remapped key only apply to the Heavy, if it's possible at all. I would say that's more trouble than it's worth and suggest that you just get by with the Mighty Mouse or get used to a new control for all secondary fire weapons. Good luck!

I would simply look into buying a mouse with a real second button. I labored under the same conditions for a while and then switched over to a Logitech Mx518 and have never looked back. Much more precise than the Mighty Mouse and there's no little ball to get crud stuck under. grin
