I'm running 6.2 on Gutsy Gibbon. Game starts fine, runs in Window (I like it that way), but no sound. Anyone have a fix?
Specs:
Emachines T6212
Nvidia 6660LE
ATI XP Soundcard
2GB Ram

Sometimes the sound gets locked by another process. You may want to disable ESD in the Sound Properties in the Gnome/Ununtu system preferences. Another thing you can try, in Steam itself, disable sound capture / audio chat (not sure what is called) in the Steam preferences.
Also, make sure you have nothing else running that will lock sound. Web browser windows with Flash, mp3 players, etc. This is a Linux limitation of some sound cards.

There is no way to disable audio chat from within Steam or audio capture it's just disfunct
I had the same issue. In the bottle configuration, Control Panel, Winecfg, then
audio tab, there were no audio drivers selected. somehow it got deselected.
marked "Alsa Driver" saved, and ran steam. worked for me!
Thanks Daniel.
This seems to work also perfectly at my issues with the sound.
Now it runs like a charm!

Rob,
Are you having any problems with the texture details? The graphcis are nowhere close to my Vista system and I have all the options set the same. It appears that my Ubuntu system is not running the texture detail on very high or high for that matter.

Eh, sound doesn't work in Leopard either.
Hi Ghorman.
Well It looks pretty good, but it is true you can't set the settings to very high.
Also the V-sync doesn't work, it makes the game Crash.
I didn't compare it to Vista yet, I have to install Vista first.
I am comming back to this.
But I think the problem is Crossover is emulating Dirext X 8.1 and not 9.
