I know it's possible on the pc... but is there any way to setup a usb gamepad in TF2 under Crossover?

You didn't say if you were using CrossOver on Linux or on a Mac. If you're using Linux, it might be possible. Currently, we don't have any support for joysticks or gamepads on the Mac.
