The game runs pretty well but I get lock ups during the game and I have force a reset on my bottle. So my question is for the other linux guys, "What in-game settings are you running and do you have ay lock ups?

System Info:
Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy)
Nvidia Geforce 8800 GSX
Crossover 6.2

Well, I fixed my lockups by setting the texture detail to high instead of very high. But the texture details flicker during the game from high to low during the game. Has anyone else seen this?

Edit: I'm still getting lockups in the middle of the game. Anyone else running this on linux? Should I just move over to wine?

I am having the same problems I think.
Checked some stuff already and so on.
Tomorrow I will test further on, I keep you updated.

edit: It seems to be a soundcard/driver isue.

Ok cool just let me know. I started using wine and the graphics are a lot better, but i believe that is due to the directx level that crossover supports.

Hi Ghorman,

Do you own the DVD version or the Steam Download version?
The engine in Wine is more up to date as Crossover. This would be solved next release.
Same as the sound issue.

For now I am still searching for solutions.

I downloaded it from Steam.

I'm using wine-0.9.49 and it seem to be working fine but I still have the texture detail problem. Its the same if I use wine or crossover. I'm only getting about 40-50 FPS in linux vs the 100-130 I get in windows. Plus the graphics are lacking compared to my vista installation. I hope we can get them on the same level...

I am also getting lock ups, I can play very well for about 10 minutes then a lock up. Any updates on this?
