Fast guide to get the Stedman's working

First of all, you have to be aware that the installer will offer you two options, either to install Dictionary and Pronunciations alone (Disc 1 only), or to add to the former around 400 MB of multimedia material ("Images and Animations") contained in Disc 2.

To install both the Dictionary with pronunciations and the additional multimedia file, copy the content of the 2 installation discs or ISOs in a single folder on your computer. Then you can proceed with the installation.

Quicktime >5.0 is required to play the multimedia files of the Dictionary, and an installer for Quicktime 7, bundled to the software, will be prompted to you during the installation procedure;

Alternatively, you can install it (or any previous/later version) in a Win XP 32 bit bottle and subsequently go ahead with the installation of Stedman's Dictionary in that very same bottle.

Personally (Intel core i3-6100u, 2.3 GHz), [i]QuickTime 5[i] proved more responsive in playing pronunciations, whereas I noticed a slight delay with QuickTime 7 (0.5-1.5s versus 0.2-0.5s of the former). On the other hand, the latter allows you to play videos smoothly, where I personally did not manage to make them work with the former.
So if you prefer a basic installation with Pronunciations only but no multimedia files, I would recommend going with QuickTime 5.

If you prefer the more complete (but possibly slightly slower) experience, you can just go with QuickTime 7.
In either case case, image visualization requires you to interact with the interface through the "Resize" button for the picture to be actually displayed (a white background is displayed by default in place of the actual image)

If you have a fullHD or 4K display, don't forget to adjust the Pixel Density for your bottle.
If you found this little guide useful, don't forget to report your experience in the comments for the next person's benefit!

Thanks a million... This worked like magic
