Steam breaks firefox

Whenver Steam starts up Firefox essentially breaks. There are gaps of about 2 or 3 seconds where I can scroll up and down the page, but other than that practically broken. Then when I quit Steam it works normal. Any ideas? It seemed to be working just fine yesterday. I also tried a reinstall of steam and Crossover, but with no avail :(

Are you running firefox in the same bottle as steam, or just on your computer natively?
