Whenever I try to install steam, it comes up with an error that says that the fonts needed to install steam could not be installed properly. any ideas?

Whenever I try to install steam, it comes up with an error that says that the fonts needed to install steam could not be installed properly. any ideas?
What platform are you using, Mac or Linux? Are you installing into the recommended bottle type?
Can you report the exact error message that you're seeing?
CrossOver needs to download the font installers from the net. Are you behind a proxy? Can you disable your use of the proxy and temporarily access the net directly? Does that fix it?
