Star Wars: The Old Republic Forum

Hi all, I've read almost all of the forum posts and can't seem to find a solution, I've downloaded the swtor_fix.exe file and click of that then the launcher.exe file and every time I do this my launcher freezes and gives me the (208) error. I've also used this crosstie thing with crossover and downloaded the swtor_fix.exe with that as well and it still freezes, I don't know what to do and I really want to play, thanks.

Also, the one time I've got it to get to the downloading screen, it says administrative permission is required, what can I do for that?

Okay so let me get into more detail, I've solved the freezing at the loading screen problem. When I accept all the terms and what not, it gives me a fatal error and says administrative access required. also after I click ok on that, it says "this patch has encountered and unidentified problem, please try again, then after I close everything and try again the same thing happens. Time after time.

I'm having the same issue and I'm stumped....from what I can tell it looks like the launcher is just poorly coded. :( Evil EA is evil LOL

Update: From what I've been told it's best if you copy an existing SWTOR install from a Windows Machine/ partition and then try and patch. If you're trying to do a fresh install like I am you're kinda SOL with Crossover 12.5. I'll try again when Crossover 13 drops.
