Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix Forum

Hello, I have a disc copy that I purchased years ago of Solder of Fortune 2 that I am trying to get working in crossover.

I am able to click the install button, and the first 1/2 of the game installs. Then I am prompted to insert disc 2.

The eject key in crossover doesn't eject the disc. I can force an eject via the finder, and put in disc 2. It looks like the installer doesn't detect that I have done this, as it continues to ask for disc 2 until I quit the install.

Any suggestions? This is the first time I am trying to use crossover to install a game, so it may be something simple I am doing wrong.

It's 10 years now and I have the same issue. Fortunately (pun intended) I was able to solve it.

Start the installation from CD 1 as usual, and when prompted to insert CD 2, cancel the installation, but preserve the installed files (when asked to revert the installation, select No).
Then, mount CD 2, and manually copy all files from Setup/base directory to where you installed the game (INSTALL_FOLDER/base). This is basically what CD 2 installer does.

After that the game should run.
