Perfect World International Forum

Last night I began downloading perfect world. I went to bed at 11:00PM and woke up at 6:00 AM and it was still installing, and the installation bar hadn't even moved. However, when I click the X button, it tells me it was finished but some tasks were skipped. After that I click the launcher, and the icon for the game will appear at the bottom of my screen, but nothing will happen. The icon just sits there, and the game doesn't launch. What is going on? Why didn't the installation finish over night, and why didn't it work? How long is it supposed to take?

I'm running on mac OSX 10.7.4
I am not sure what to do!

I've had this happen before when I lost connection with the PWI servers during the install. I deleted the bottle, and ran the install again. After running it again the install completed sucessfully.

Well, I have tried installing on multiple bottles. It's when it comes to patching that it just doesn't go anywhere. I just get the same result.

With the patcher I found I cannot use the shortcut created by the installer. I have to use the run application option and launch the launcher.exe file in the PWI install directory.

Well, I find that it doesn't give me a shortcut. It doesn't provide it even when i check it off. It's the launcher that doesn't work.
