Patching Issues?

When installing the game I noticed the note which stated that PW does not always patch properly, and I'm not sure if somehow the problem I am having is related.

When I attempt to update it, it tells me that the game is up to date after waiting some time, but after attempting to push "Start" to launch the client, it just sits there, and nothing happens.

Is there another way I should be launching the game, outside of the update client? The update box is quite buggy itself, and "jumps around" my screen somewhat violently if I try to move it, etc, with heavy tearing issues. I ignore that for the most part, as it acts like it is functioning properly, that aside.

After encountering this problem a couple of times, and not being able to run the game, I decided that perhaps I needed to fully reinstall the client. I did this, and after the reinstall, had the program check every file to make sure everything was in tact/no corruption or missing, and everything seemed fine.

Still unable to launch the game, though it tells me everything is updated. I don't believe that everything is updated because the patch didn't take nearly as long as I expected, but I'm really not sure.

I have the full version of xover games, etc.
Running 4gb ram on a 256mb integrated (320M) graphics card.
It isn't the best computer, but this game is a little older, so I don't really think that should be the issue.

Also, when running the game I have attempted to run it with patcher, launcher, and element. None of them work.

Anyone else having this problem?

Thank you for the help,
Until I can find the answer I'll continue browsing the forums, and probably go back to playing Guild Wars :P
