I have been testing the NBA 2k series for 2 years on Ubuntu now and I must say that this is the first good playable version of the game with CX Games. I recommend to set all graphic settings to low at the beginning and to better them slowly. With a Nvidia Geforce GTS 250 graphic card and an AMD Phenom x4 cpu I can play NBA on the graphic resolution of 1680x1050. Installing of the game is no problem with Steam ;).
