Microsoft Office 2010 Forum

Hello, I never tried MS Office on Crossover, but sometimes I receive MS documents and i have to
ask to some1 to convert it becouse libreoffice does not open these correctly.

I found a bookstore who sell a MS Office 2010 Pro, original key, in my country at only 87 euro (I suppose
is a magazine residue). I'd want buy it, and install it under Crossover, i read that shoulds run great.

It have only one activation, and i can't do more installation tries, there are something that i have to
know ? I have only to insert the serial key and all is automatic like in Windows ?
I don't want waste 87 euro :)

If I backup the bottle and reinstall it (in the same machine), i lose the activation ?

I have used 2010 since it came out and have had no problem installing it on my dual boot system... repeatedly. Occasionally on reloads and automatic activation, I get the "you have exceeded activations" notice. Then I simply activate manually by calling the number MS gives. When asked "How many computers have you installed on" I simply answer two. It is somewhat tedious, but each time I call, it appears that the activation counter is reset.
