I'm using CrossOver Linux Standard 9.0.1 and trying to install MemoryMap Northern Scotland OS maps. My CD set included an Installation CD, which seemed to install OK; I can scroll through, and define routes on, the road map of Great Britain. But the second CD in my set, which actually contains the Northern Scotland OS Landranger 1:50K maps that I want, won't install.
The installation seems to get through the 609M maps OK (a .qct file), but hangs on the 17M .qed file.
Any suggestions? I can provide parts of the error log if that would be useful. I'm using Kubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat) with KDE 4.5.1.
EDIT: This morning I ran CrossOver Office and chose to "Repair" the installation "Memory-Map OS Edition Version 5" (in an XP bottle called "Other Applications"). In a few seconds I received a "success" message and found a new desktopdata entry had been created --- no doubt other changes had been made also. I inserted the Northern Scotland CD and chose Map List, Add Folder, targeting the CD. The qct, qed, and mmi files were all copied successfully to my C drive. I am now able to scroll, zoom, and apply routes and marks to, the OS Landranger Northern Scotland (Region 6) maps!
Next step is to see how this interfaces with the Garmin GPS! At this point, though, I'm very pleased!
