Three easy steps, ha! I get errors even trying to install this, let alone being able to use it. I said to myself "If it works on the trial version, then I'll buy the full version." But there is no way I'm paying for this kind of buggy software, especially when the support you offer for those who buy it is third tier! Seriously, I would love to play LOTRO on my Mac, but all I'm getting are errors that the game isn't installed, though it looks like it is. I've read all the FAQs and the complete instructions and the tips and tricks. I've tried several different things. Your support is all over the place. It's ridiculous. I'm really bummed, but I guess you have given me the clear option to install Windows on my Mac. Boo.

Well, the important thing is that you asked for help when you ran into problems and not just blindly spewed on the boards.

I'm sorry you were not able to get LotRO running. This is actually the application that was the tipping point for me to purchase Crossover Games.

I never had any issues installing the game. If you are willing to give it another try I'd be happy to see if I can get you through the install process and into the game.

Hmmm... I've been playing LOTRO on a succession of Macs since the Pre-beta (I'm a Lifetime Founder), and, especially currently have zero problems.

I note that this is your first post to the support forum, so could you please describe your situation.

1- What version of CrossOver GAMES are you using? LOTRO does not work in the base CrossOver Pro or CrossOver Office. CrossOver Games is a separate download.

2- Did you use the C4P installer?

3- What installation errors are you encountering?

4- What kind of Mac are you using. CXG and LOTRO will not work on a PowerPC Mac, but requires an Intel-Mac.

5- Which source of LOTRO are you using? The Turbine "clients" from the LOTRO website are based on PANDO which does not work, and will not download the game.
