A annoying minor video bug

Any metal grating or chain link fence textures doesn't render. I would guess they are textures that are semi transparent. They render when you look at them a certain angle but thats how I know they exist. They don't render and it's annoying when you can't see the floor of the cat walk that is over a giant pit. This bug is in every source game I have. Doesn't effect performance at all.

We are aware of the issue and it seems to be a bug in all MacOS nvidia drivers(geforce 7 and 8). The game uses the alpha test to make the geometry semi-transparent, and a pixel shader to calculate the colors for each fragment. For some reason the alpha test sometimes fails(=makes a pixel semi-transparent) even if the pixel shader returns an alpha value != 0.0, in which case the alpha test should pass. Unfortunately we haven't been able to clearly reproduce this issue in a test application yet, so we don't know a clear workaround and haven't been able to file a proper bugreport.
