white screen on startup with crossover mac 8.1.3

Hi, I have a problem with crossover mac 8.1.3. When I start guildwars I have a white screen with the pointer of the mouse and the music. Also on windowed mode.
My mac is a macbook pro with core 2 duo 2.33 and an ati X1600 pro.

It seems that I screwed up the workaround for the Snow Leopard ATI bug that broke Team Fortress 2 and other games a bit. I will investigate this, for now I recommend to stick to 8.1.2 for Guild Wars.

(Note that this regression only affects ATI cards on Snow Leopard, as the workaround isn't enabled on any other platform)

Well, i have the same Problem. Where can I get 8.1.2? I just have 8.0.0 and 8.1.3

My Account (upper right when you're logged in) -> My Downloads -> Archived Downloads

I have the same problem here and would like to try before I buy so to speak. Been searching google for 8.1.2 with no luck and since I haven't bought it yet there is no earlier version in archives. I doubt there would be even if I bought it right now.

Any advice for me? Kinda hard to try out crossover with a white screen...

That is a bit of a conundrum. Tweaking the version number in the URL for the trial download works for me: http://media.codeweavers.com/pub/crossover/cxgames/demo/crossover-games-demo-8.1.2.dmg

For what it's worth, if you do purchase, you would have access to archived earlier versions as well as the unsupported 8.1.4 build which should fix the white-screen issue with Guild Wars. (It's unsupported because we made some hasty fixes for a few specific issues and released it with minimal testing. Since then we haven't heard reports of significant problems, so we may soon upgrade it to a normal release.)

Thank you Ken. Your amazingly fast reply made my first evening as a mac user delightful. GW so far runs smooth although I have to make some adjustments in my playing style and try to figure out how to tilt the camera view.

I did go for the earlier version as it seems "safer" the option for me.
So thank you again.
