I am at my wits end and about to bootcamp Windows XP onto my iMac (I really don't want to have to boot into a different operating system if I don't have to).
I have been using Crossover games for Guild Wars seamlessly for the past 10 months (I originally had it on my Mac mini but upgraded a few months ago).
As of this past Wednesday I was unable to log in on my iMac. My husband's PC desktop and laptop logged in to GW just fine (Vista on one, XP on the other). Since I hadn't got around to uninstalling Crossover or GW on the mini yet, so we checked it to see if it could connect and it was the same as the iMac.
On the iMac, I've re-installed Crossover games, re-installed Guild Wars, checked to see if we suddenly had a firewall in place (as someone else in the forum suggested), tried all the command options. We also re-set our router and checked to see if it suddenly had a firewall.
After the re-install last night I was able to get in and play, then today it wouldn't work again and after sitting on the connecting screen for about a minute it went to the black screen with just the cursor and sounds. Then I tried the various command line options and was able to get in with the -windows only, but THEN the keyboard would not work.
I just don't get it. Why would this (these?) issues crop up out of the blue? Nothing on our end has changed.
Thanks for any suggestions anyone can provide!
