huh, it didnt do this on my third open. strange.
This is a known problem on the Mac. We can't switch a window from having a title bar to not, or vice versa. Therefore, if you switch from full-screen to windowed mode, the window won't have a title bar. However, if you exit the game in windowed mode, it will come up in windowed mode when you next launch it, and the window will have a proper title bar.
The reverse also happens. If you start up in windowed mode and switch to full-screen, there will still be a title bar in full-screen mode, which will look ugly and displace the graphics. If you exit and relaunch, it will come up in full-screen without the title bar.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
In Winecfg, in the Graphics tab, uncheck these options:
"Allow the window manager to decorate the windows"
"All the window manager to control the windows"
This will get rid of the pretty Mac OS X window theme and make it look like Windows 98. Also when you minimize it will minimize to the bottom left corner of your desktop instead of to your dock. But since you are no longer using OSX's theme, you can switch between fullscreen and windowed mode easily now.
