Crossover Mac 7.2.0, Mac OS X 10.5.6, Macbook Pro 17" (display 1920x1200)
Install crossover, install guild wars. Gets to the point where install is finished and both screens go black with odd bordering and mouse behaviour. Eventually figure Cmd-Q to get out.
Try running again, same behaviour.
Uninstall bottle. Run again with external display (DVI, 1024x768 through DisplayPort to DVI adaptor) disconnected. Everything works fine.
Is this a known issue?
I think it may be. We apparently have a bug with our multi-monitor support -- if the primary display (the one with the menu bar) is not the top-left-most display, then full-screen programs don't display. Try changing which display is the primary, or change the arrangement so your Mac thinks the primary is top-left-most. Does that get Guild Wars working?
Yeah, that arrangement (primary display on right) describes my setup exactly. And when it was malfunctioning the mouse cursor was constrained to an oddly aligned rectangle that spanned part of both monitors and seemingly ran off the bottom of both.
Curiously, once I got it installed, it would launch into fullscreen mode fine, but I couldn't scroll the character selection screen right (left worked fine).
But I've realised I prefer window mode anyway. The game seems to run mostly fine in a window, and it means that I can use the secondary monitor for the guild wars wiki (essential reading!). :)
