Can't get past Character selction screen.

After logging in and selecting character the game doesn't load, the map downloader is still a 0%.
It worked perfectly earlier today and have always in the past.

My internet connection is fine.
I've restarted crossover games and the computer.
I've tested running gw on my windows computer, so it's not the guild wars servers.

Any help?

First try this:
Run Command...
Select your Gw.exe
Add to the end of it -repair

If that doesn't work, I recommend a fresh installation, rename your old Guild Wars bottle to Gw Old (don't delete it), then reinstall Guild Wars. If that works, then copy over your templates folder (if you have one) from C:/Program Files/Guild Wars/Templates to your new bottle. And also if you don't want to download the game again, copy the Gw.dat file too.

Im having the same problem, and i have tried adding -repair to the end of the command log, and i have completely uninstalled and reinstalled guild wars from my mac, and i still cant get it to work... I honestly want a refund for purchasing a product that wont work.

Can you give me your mac hardware specs? If this is a fresh install on Snow Leopard, then this should be working. Also any other details you think would be useful helps.

I have been playing guild wars fine in this computer for about a year now, and had very little problems running it, and all of a sudden it smacks me with this.... I'm ready to bite the bullet and just purchase a copy of windows so I can use bootcamp. Do you need any more information than this?

There are miscellaneous (really hard to find) bugs that require a lot of soul searching and in this case you don't want to spend the time doing that.

Try the following:

Create a new temporary user and just download and install crossover games to your temp user desktop. Install guild wars and see if that works.

Sometimes the client does need to restart before working again (on first run only)

Also may I ask if you are playing in full screen mode to try it in windowed mode?

I will check the bug forums to see if I can find any details on the bug.

If you continue to have problems, please use your free support ticket that came with your purchase to get professional support ( if it hasn't already expired)
