Pretty much, I'll run the game, but it'll crash as fast as it starts. Have I not got a certain component installed? Or is it a spec problem?

You would have to tell us your specs before we would know =)
Cheers!
Alright, I've just got a pretty basic 13" MacBook, with:
2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB of DDR3 Ram
Nvidia 320M 256MB
Pre-Installed Intel HD Audio
250GB Toshiba HDD
Yeah, I've always been a Windows guy; but i ended up getting a MacBook...
So, is it my specs? Or does CrossOver need the directx, dotnet and C++ intalled into the bottle you're using?
Oh! If this helps, I'm using the retail version.
....with this title...hmm... with your system specs, I suspect you're
right ; it wouldn't be totally beyond it (provided the 320M didn't spoil
the show), but with only 256mb videoram you'd be pretty much limited to
a windowed mode @ 1024x768 ... and it might run okay like that, dunno.
My HD5670/512mb iMac does ok with it, but like 3.somethingGhz of dualcore
CPU really -does- matter with this title....
...on the linux box I concluded 2.2ghz dualcore CPU/4gb ram with something
like geforce9400/512mb to be about minimum spec (with some eye-candy turned
off in graphics options) -- it was/is much happier and far more playable
with 3.2Ghz quadcore CPU/8gb and gt9800/1024mb (this all at 1680x1050)...
..you would definitely need openal installed into the same bottle (this
is a target in the community supported applications section of the cxinstaller
GUI)...and the other supports like directx & friends (a Steam bottle will
have most of this already installed)...I forget what it actually needs...
I may just go to the trouble of going through Boot Camp. Considering, that I have so many other windows games here that will simply not run with cxgames, e.g. Maple Story and Legendary and Rohan:Blood Feud, stupid hack prevention...
