I haven't gotten 2004 to install properly yet. But will try it with the newest test release and see if the situation has improved.

I've tried with the latest version of CrossOver (4) and had no luck... I couldn't even get it to install..

Nope. The whole issue remains the copy protection code.
Mike M is working on it, but it'll be 5.0 at the absolute
earliest (and may be longer if it proves very hard to get going).

Sadly, the copy protection folks work really hard to make it
hard to figure out how to make Wine suppor their needs.
