Hey there
I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.6 and Crossover Games 7.2.0. I was able to get FFXI and Playonline installed without issue, and have followed all the guides about the setup. When I run the Final Fantasy XI Config, however, the config appears but the contents are blank, so I'm unable to change to windowed mode or change any game settings. If I try to run FFXI as is, it just goes to a black window and stays there. Any ideas? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated....
I had the same issue you will have to manually change the registry.
programs>run command [regedit]
..:: In Regedit ::..
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > PlayOnlineUS(or whatever version you are using) > SquareEnix > FinalFantasyXI
0000 - mip mapping (recommend 0)
0001 - game width (click decimal to get real numbers)
0002 - game height (same)
0003/0004 - resolution (400 = 1024 recommended)
0034 - windowed mode (set to 1)
That is enough to get you started google the rest when you want to mess around with more settings.
