how far have you gotten in the game with no errors?
Got it running partially.
Using a MBP I found that installing would freeze my system and require a power off/on restart.
I successfully installed on my linux version of crossover and copied the contents of the bottle to my MBP and imported the registry from the linux bottle into the mac via regedit.
FF7 will now launch, but does not display any intro movies. It goes straight to the "New Game" / "Continue" menu, and the menu doesn't respond to keyboard inputs.
Close but no cigar.
I have also gotten it to run on OSX, although I haven't installed it in a while there so I'll go back through the install and compare notes. To get it to run, I have to run timidy to use the midi properly, and use a modified video driver (not in the system, just what ff7 uses for video interface) to get the videos and everything to play properly. I'll write up the installs when I get a moment and post them in the tips and tricks for both linux and mac. Also on your macbook, you will need to find a config file that remaps the keyboard setup as ff7 is coded to the numpad. that way key commands will respond.
