I get this message when i double-click on Counter-Strike: Source in Steam.
I run crossover office demo 6.1. I got exactly the same error on wine-0.9.29 and 0.9.34.
Any ideas what can be the reason or how to get more details about it (ie. is there any option for steam to be more verbose, or log file which describes what went wrong) ?
What does the error say?
What are your system specs? (search for 'profile' on mac)
Have you tried applying the launch attributes (bugs section) to the desktop shortcut as well as through steam?
This sounds as though your Steam account is not authorized to run CS:S. You may need to ask Valve about this, or at least search their support system.
