Game won't start help please

I just recently downloaded the latest version of Steam, or updated it, and now it has a totally different interface. It is much nicer and when you go to your games library, you have to double click the title of the game to start it up. Well, since I updated Steam and got the latest version of Crossover, which is 9.0.0, it gives me the following message when I double click the game:

Counter Strike: Source is not available on your current platform

Before all this updating mess and new stuff, Counter strike source worked just fine. What's the problem?

And also, when I downloaded the latest 9.0.0 Crossover games, it said it was just a trial version for 7 days. Does that mean I have to buy it when i bought crossover games a while back?

Thanks for any replies

If you are using Mac steam you'll get that, are you sure your running it in Crossover games?

Well how do I make sure I'm running it in Crossover games?

Right. That sounds like the new Mac-native Steam, which is nice, but doesn't (yet?) support Counter-Strike: Source.

You can tell which one you're running by checking where the menus for Steam are. In the Mac-native Steam, Steam's menus are in the menu bar along the top of the screen. In the Windows Steam running within CrossOver Games, Steam's menus are within the Steam window. The top menu bar shows CrossOver Games' menus.

Regarding the fact that CrossOver Games is reporting itself as a trial copy -- all CrossOver Games downloads are trial copies. You must register them using your account credentials (the email address and password you use to log into this website).

So is there anything I can do to play the game again?

run it in crossover games if you aren't ;)

Actually, the game is now available for Mac in Steam... so you could play it fine there.

The new beta is not however.
