HEY GUYS,
i have Crossover 8.0, Macbook Pro : 2,26 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 9400M Geforce (Onboard), 2 GB Ram 667 Mhz DDR3.
AND no game i installed on Steam runs!
plz help!
I installed Directx 9.0c on XP Bottle. And i tried to install the Nvidia Driver for GFx but this i cant install.
Half life 2 f.e. starts but it stops when the environment had to become clear, the sound hangs.
When i started Insurgency Mod i shows that Hardware Lvl was DX 7.0. Then i tiped -dxlevel 7.1 but that was a mistake it should be dxlevel 71

Did you install it in Crossover 8, or Crossover Games 8? Crossover Games 8 is the one that has bullet holes in the icon. Crossover 8 just has the regular icon.

Also, I don't think Direct X 7 is the right one to use for your situation.

do type in -dxlevel 80 or 81

give it a try and do tell how it goes

tested, and crashes.. with dxlevel 70, 80, and 81.
Above stands: Crossover Mac Pro, i thought i bought the Pro edition there is normaly crossover games included.
When i click on "About Crossover" there only stands Crossover 8.0.0.
In the loading movie of Insurgency f.e. there can i see "graphical mistakes"

CSS :-windowed -gl -w 800 -dxlevel 81 -console

HL2, CSS: always crashes when they had to show graphics...
In Insurgency Mod it freezes after MapLoad screen

Cxgames is included in cxpro license-wise, but it is still a separate download. When you download cxgames, you get the demo build. You can activate it with your login credentials for this site(ie, the ones you used for posting here)

Once you download and install crossover games if you go to install software there is an option in the list to install steam. Once you do that, everything should work pretty well.

The best thing you can do is write into our sales team (sales@codeweavers.com) and explain that you would only like CXGames... but if you are going to use other Windows applications, CrossOver Pro is the best deal for you.
