Counter-Strike: Source Forum

I was running counter strike source ok under bootcamp and today downloaded cs:s for my macbook pro (core duo 1.8ghz 2gb) from steam using crossovers. I am using -novid -dxlevel=7 -gl -w 800. It works for some servers but it seems all of the internode servers have problems with me - all graphics options low or high. It seems to hang immediately after joining with a black/empty menu box over a nicely rendered frame from the level. The mouse moves round but I can't click ok below the empty menu box. I can force quit the bottle or the app. Other non-internode servers seem to work perfectly.

Any clues?

I think this is the infamous MOTD rendering bug. the MOTD page is a HTML page, and some of them crash our HTML renderer. Jacek is working on a fix. Meanwhile, many users work around this issue by installing internet explorer 6 into the same bottle as an unsupported "game".

Good one - I will try the ie thing and let you know if it worked.
