I obtained the free .rar archives and ran the installer into a win98 bottle using crossover 7.1 for mac. The installer completed just fine but didn't create any symbolic links to the application. Running RA95.exe directly has no effect. I've tried reinstalling and it's done the same thing. I've also tried telling crossover to rebuild the programs menu to no effect. Is there anything I can do to get this to work?
I had the same problem, but you should download the patch as discribed in the tip and tricks and install it in the same bottle of your C&C in the gamemap. After that go to "programs" -> run command -> browse your bottle of c&c and go to rasetup.exe and run this. It will ask you to choose a resolution. Select 640*400 pixels and leave the rest blank. When you now run ra95.exe it should work (at least it ded with me)
I should note that if you dont install the patch....it start to run, you see the intro movie but after that the control is horrible, it mallfunctions as hell. so after installing the patch in the C&C bottle it works as it should.
The only flaw i found is after you accomplish a mission, the score window (counting the score and stuff) works slow/delays, so you have to wait untill the score is counted etc. After that you can click to proceed the further missions. But hey, i cant complain if i see how the rest works fine.
