Ok with DOSbox it does Work.

Now get Civilization and (EDIT: Link removed)
rename the folder to civ (more easy for typing) And drop it to the "dosprog" folder. (for instructions read "the read me first" of DOSbox)
Now got to the settings of DOSbox and change " machine" to vgaonly. (otherwise it doens`t work!!!!)
Now save the changes. Start DOSbox and Mount the c:\dosprog. Run the game ("cd civ" then "civ") now choose vga 256 collors, then soundblaster/adlib
as soundcard. and then keyboard only or mouse and keyboard.
The Game will start!

Yeah...a waste, such a good game. Tried the setup, but starts immidiatly with a white screen...
